The Joflow Local Competition Program is the cornerstone of our academy’s player development pathway, giving athletes the opportunity to apply their skills in real game situations while representing Joflow Basketball Academy across local leagues in Hills, Blacktown and Hawkesbury.


This program is designed for players of all levels and focuses on translating training into performance. It combines structured team training sessions, competitive league play, and mentorship from experienced coaches to help athletes grow in confidence, skill, and game IQ.


Whether you’re taking your first step into competitive basketball or preparing for representative and interstate play, the Local Competition Program is the best platform to develop your game, grow as an athlete, and showcase your skills on the court.

  • Important Season Dates

    Tryout Date: January 31 & February 1, 2026

    Season Start Date: Monday, 20 April 2026

    Competition Break: 6th July – 18th July 2026 

    Semi-Finals Week: 13th September – 19th September 2026 

    Grand Finals Week: 20th September – 26th September 2026 

    Season End Date: Saturday, 26 September 2026.

  • Associations & Competitions

    JBA enters teams into the following local competitions.

    Hills Basketball Association (HBA): Compete with the Hills Hornets at Hills Basketball Stadium, Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, or Bella Vista Public School.

    City of Blacktown Basketball Association: Playing in the Blacktown area (Kevin Betts Stadium, Stanhope Leisure Centre, Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre).

    Hawkesbury Basketball Association: Competition games at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium.
